As I look back on my time at Hall Mead, and more recently as CEO of Empower Learning Academy Trust, it’s clear that while we can be justifiably proud of what we’ve achieved, there is still much we can offer young learners and the wider community in our local area.
For very good reasons, we have up to now focused on excellence in the classroom – teaching, learning and outcomes – but as we grow (and prepare to grow further) we now need to also develop the structure and performance of our non-teaching operations. In other words, our management of services, assets, estates and business processes needs to complement our educational excellence. And that’s where you come in.
I’m keen to receive applications from confident, positive and highly capable people, with experience of working across multi-site organisations, probably in the public-funded sector. Stand-out candidates will probably already have some experience of working within the academy sector, but that need not be as an employee – you may be a consultant, senior manager in a supply-chain organisation, or even an experienced and passionate parent / governor.
